Pete Muzyka
captures what is left of our rural Georgia surroundings. Viewing one of
his paintings will conjure up all sorts of stories as you get lost in
the realness of his images. If you are anywhere near the town of
Madison you owe it to yourself to find a piece of Muzyka's artwork and
enjoy this truly gifted artist's work. And I'm sure Pete wouldn't mind
me mentioning that while in Madison to make a day of it by touring a
house museum, having lunch or dinner and shopping in this famous
historic downtown area.
Hi Pete, As always, your blog is informative, inspiring, and
impressive. I really enjoy seeing how your work unfolds. I enjoy seeing
the shape, colors, and textures of the piece emerge from a drawing.
Thanks so much for continuing to share your process. I hope you'll let
us know how the church and pastor respond!
Even though I am looking at these images on my computer screen,
still, I can FEEL the leftover feelings of lives lived in these places.
That isn't because of your photos Pete. It is because of the way you
have been able to imbue them with that life, that spirit, that dignity
and nostalgia. Wow. Excellent. Lynne
I am in awe. Looking at these paintings, I can almost hear the
echoes of voices of inhabitants long gone who called these dwellings
"home." Thank you, Pete, for preserving these images of rural living
with your brush strokes before they are forever lost.
As always Pete your work is astounding! Such attention to detail
is a testament of your patience and awe inspiring talent. The mailbox
is my favorite, had one of those until recent, my mail carrier left a
note saying "The Olde South called, they want their Vanishing Mail Box
Back" I know your show will be a great success. ~Margo~
Pete The preparation and reception were a joy... truly a
highlight of my life. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! Thank you for
sharing the stress... and for producing such beautiful work! T
Your talent leaves me searching for words. I need after hours
time with your pieces free from chatter so the work can envelope my
soul. I love and truly appreciate your talent Pete, I'm so fortunate to
be a part of your guest list. Great Show!
